Check Whether the Curriculum Covers Relevant SAP S/4HANA Concepts
One of the most important things to examine is whether the training curriculum is current.
Do not assume a course is modern simply because the words “SAP S/4HANA” appear in the course title.
Ask for the detailed syllabus.
Look at exactly which S/4HANA-specific concepts, processes and tools are included.
Depending on your module, these may include areas such as:
SAP Fiori
Business Partner
S/4HANA organizational structures
Updated master-data concepts
Simplified processes
S/4HANA-specific configuration
Integration scenarios
Relevant reporting
Migration concepts
Current business processes
For example, someone looking for SAP FICO training in Hyderabad should not only ask whether FI and CO transactions are taught.
They should also ask how the course addresses SAP S/4HANA Finance concepts and current finance business processes.
Likewise, SAP MM students should understand current procurement processes rather than memorizing only transaction codes.
Ask:
“Which parts of this syllabus are specifically related to SAP S/4HANA?”
A competent trainer should be able to explain this clearly.
Check the SAP Trainer's Real Industry Experience
The trainer can make a major difference to your SAP learning experience.
Don't ask only:
“How many years of experience does the trainer have?”
Ask what kind of SAP experience they have.
Relevant project exposure may include:
SAP implementations
Support projects
Rollouts
Upgrades
Migrations
Configuration
Testing
Integration
Production issues
Client requirements
End-user support
Business-process discussions
Why does this matter?
Because SAP training should help you understand not only:
“Where do I click?”
but also:
“Why does a business configure the system this way?”
Consider this example.
A trainer may show an SAP MM student how to create a Purchase Order.
A trainer with practical business-process knowledge should additionally explain:
Why the Purchase Order is required
What precedes the PO
Which master data is involved
What happens during Goods Receipt
What happens during Invoice Verification
How MM interacts with Finance
What common errors occur
How these processes work in projects
That additional context turns software training into SAP consulting knowledge.
