2 MARINES AND A DOG
"Charles Quinn’s story is more than just a tale of war—it’s a story of second chances.
A proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran (1963–1967), Charles served his country with honor before climbing the ranks of corporate America, building a 30-year career as a respected executive in the automotive industry. Known for his calm strength and deep empathy, he mentored countless colleagues with the same loyalty and integrity that defined his time in uniform.
But Charles’s greatest fight came off the battlefield. At just 49, a heart attack on a Salt Lake City golf course changed everything. It became a divine wake-up call, leading him down the path to sobriety—a journey he’s walked for over 40 years. Today, Charles dedicates his life to helping others reclaim theirs, serving as a sponsor and mentor within Alcoholics Anonymous. Beyond service and sobriety, Charles is a lifelong dog lover and trainer who believes in the healing power of animals. But nothing brings him greater joy than being “Grandpa Chuck,” surrounded by grandkids eager for his stories of courage, resilience, and redemption.
